Forth Arts & Aerial Collective
Forth Arts & Aerial Collective is a group of artists interested in using arts and aerial dance in a socially engaged manner. We formed with the intention of creating exciting community aerial opportunities specifically for women and non-binary people in the Forth Valley.
Wingspan:
In 2023 we delivered Wingspan (thanks to funding from Creative Scotland). Wingspan was community aerial and arts project for women and non-binary people who have experienced trauma or mental ill-health. We worked with a small group to develop their aerial skills as well as exploring other art-forms including creative writing, visual arts and circus. The group created a short film as part of the project.
Leaf is multi artform film exploring the concepts of community and connection and their role in healing from trauma.
Fly Forth:
In 2022 we were funded by Creative Scotland to deliver Fly Forth, a community aerial dance project offering trauma informed workshops to women and non-binary people who have been affected by trauma. We delivered a series of seven free aerial taster sessions in Dunblane for over 25 women and non-binary people.

I work extensively with Stand Easy Productions as a freelance community artist to manage and deliver drama and creative projects for Armed Forces Veterans and their families, Emergency Responders and Health and Social Care staff. Our work focuses on raising the profile of mental health and on improving the well-being and resilience of participants.
Recent projects have included performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2019), a large scale partnership project for Veteran/military families and a yearly devising project for retired emergency responders.
New Frontiers Podcast
In 2025 I was co-host of the award winning podcast New Frontiers.
This series – from Scotland’s Veterans Wellbeing Alliance – is a rich tapestry of stories from veterans, their families and loved ones, and Alliance partners who support them.
In 2026 New Frontiers was shortlisted for two awards at the inaugural Scottish Podcast Awards and went on to win for Best Artwork.

I work regularly with All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre as an aerial tutor on a range on community projects and classes. Most recently I have been working with them on a partnership project with SCORE Scotland, delivering community aerial classes to young people in the Wester Hailles area of Edinburgh.

A Story of Hope - Ann Hope House (2022)
In Summer 2022 I worked with residents of Ann Hope House to devise a musical. Ann Hope House is a therapeutic residential community for women who are homeless and seeking to make positive changes in their lives.
The piece featured original songs written by the women and explored their stories of addiction, homelessness, motherhood and recovery.
RE:ignite (2022)
REignite was a community aerial project for women who are survivors of domestic abuse and gendered violence delivered in collaboration with TurnAround Dance Theatre.
In January 2022 we undertook a residency at Dancebase as part of the Love Dance Scotland bursary scheme. Over the course of a week we collected stories from survivors, and led aerial and story-sharing workshops with survivors. The week culminated in an informal performance of work created by us in response to survivor testimony.
We are very grateful to Women's Aid Stirling, Forth Valley Rape Crisis, Edinburgh Rape Crisis and Well-being Scotland for supporting us on this project by offering training and advice.
